Daughter returns to college in Wales after the Easter
holiday. Wife dulls over and shuts off somewhat, understandably. Husband
sits on studio bed, deeply pissed off and immobilised in a crossfire of
signals. Should he resume his uninviting oval painting which has gone
cold on him in a particularly ugly and plastic way, or should he secretly
lash into the remaining half-barrel of home brew, corruptingly and yet
strategically situated right there in his poxy work room ? Could he conceal
his drunkenness from his wife at teatime ? Would flatulence give him away
yet again - that characteristically noxious flatulence ?
