The yellow dancing sprite is my daughter at a young age. Her mother, the good shepherdess, watches over her. The avian schoolboy creature on the branch tries to look stern and to make his moral pronouncements from on high, but he is ultimately a figure of fun, well -meaning but risible, and the precepts of love originate elsewhere. The lion creature is the child's toy-friend and the white barge is the family vehicle, canal-worthy to a degree but awkward on the bends. The numbers on its bows relate to familial combinations. |
