After the stoats and weasels have been evicted from Toad Hall, Badger -- before once more retiring into sylvan obscurity -- suggested to Toad that it might be a good idea to host at his splendid home a series of open days for animals such as foxes, owls, cats and the like who are naturally unafraid of the offending mustelids -- as a deterrent to any further ideas they might entertain of a reoccupation.
