A Frog Goes A-Wooing
Acrylic on canvas
30" x 24"
SOLD

The rear end of Froggy's car makes me think of the story about the seven stone weakling on a beach who asks the local he-man for a tip on how to pull birds. The advice offered is for him to put two pounds of sausages down his trunks, which he eagerly proceeds to do. After a long but wholly fruitless day, the weary wimp laments his continuing failure to the amused Adonis -- to be informed that the sausages were supposed to go down the front of his trunks.

Well, this frog, against all the odds, gets lucky here. The girl under the tumulus is bored -- bored with her blue TV and with re-reading her one book. She's ready for a bit of fun, particularly with an ugly, jolly type without conceit or vanity and later, under a waxing moon on Hump Head, they make proper use of that bouncy and capacious rear end.
