Puffer Brint's Fifth Excursion
Oval wood panel
23" x 18"
SOLD

The Brint family of Castle Carmody were an odd brood, with pretensions to the kind of rustic gentility you only read about in the oeuvre of Lady Boan-Corsett. Puffer himself was the last of the line that had degenerated into inutility and he bore the classic Brint look of beanlike stupidity. On this, his fifth outing of a contracted series of eight, his minder, the family gardener, pushes him over Lugg pond where the peevish Chick-Chick can be seen playing truant from the local school in his little rowing boat.
