The Early Travels of TS Eliot
Shaped wood panel
42" x 24"
SOLD

When he was only a baby T S Eliot managed to travel quite extensively with his companion Boggs. Oddly enough, Eliot dreamed then of becoming a bank manager, whilst it was Boggs, later to prove an accomplished alcoholic, who cherished ambitions in the direction of poetry. Throughout their journeying Boggs would take it upon himself to declaim sonorously in response to every new landscape, whereas Eliot would cheerfully convert his experiences into limericks, a pastime he thought fitting for an intinerant bank manager.
