Seeing off the Bunnyman
Acrylic on wood panel
13" x 11"
SOLD

This scene contains no meaning that I'm aware of. The cat might just as well have been a dog, the bunnyman a badgerman. I've known people who would be put off the painting by this admission. Some would actually be affronted. And yet if I made up an explanation they'd be ok about it. It's funny that but it's true, and it's just as true that what matters most about a painting is that it works. And if you think it works I think the meaning will sort itself out.
What I would like to say, however, about this one is that the cat isn't killing the bunnyman. He's firing peanuts and they're having a game. That's important.
