This shows an unknown Blackpool side scoring against an unknown Sheffield Wednesday side at an unknown venue bearing a slight resemblance to the old Bloomfield Road.
The composition makes use of a convention of continuous action that was employed as early as medieval times. Viewers uninterested in football might be swayed by this distinguished technical provenance into viewing the subject with less distaste. Or not.
