I find the word trumpet inexplicably funny at times.
Once I was building a fire and placing puffy loops of newspaper on a bed of coal as part of the time-hallowed process. My friend Rob who was staying with me at the time and watching me, said in an amused little voice, "Are those trumpets of paper you're making?" He knew how funny this was but, characteristically, he asked it in a throwaway manner. I always laugh inwardly at this rich little memory.
Also in my head I call ice cream cornets trumpets and make myself laugh. Surely everybody harbours similar private amusements. Surely?
Well, I've forgotten what I was going to say about this picture.
