Since her last show here in 2005, Margaret has had a virtual sell-out solo exhibition with generous reviews at the Solomon Gallery in Dublin, regarded as Ireland’s leading contemporary gallery. If this show is as successful as her previous one with us, we shall be very pleased.

“The figurative pieces came about as a result of a very moving evening in the Concert Hall in Dublin, a visually amazing two weeks in South Africa and a general observation of people with all their complex layers".

“The landscapes are Irish apart from one which was inspired by a visit to Stockholm earlier this year. I love the Irish landscape – it can be passionate, romantic, cruel and gentle, while the light can change dramatically within the hour, giving very different feelings of the same view. These elements are always challenging and colour layering plays a major role in trying to achieve the essence of the feeling. The transformative ability of pigment on canvas is mysterious and intriguing”.
