Walter Sauermann is a French painter who has a way of expressing the landscape that is gentle yet affirms the artist's experience and particular viewpoint. Having grown up between Spain, France and Germany, his work shares traits from the three cultures, mixing colours, brush strokes and shapes to create his own genre. |

Working in his studio north of Paris or in the fields near his home, Sauermann's compositions are balanced and inviting, leading the viewer on a ride through the calm countryside. His bold paintings exude a strong sense of heat and light. Walter has exhibited in both Europe and the United States but is also exhibiting in Britain for the first time. |
