Past exhibitions have focused on Barcelona, Rajasthan, Tunisia, Turkey, Nova Scotia and The Caribbean to name but a few destinations. |
This exhibition show Frank's new paintings, based on a visit to Cape Town and its environs earlier this year. There are groups of paintings about a variety of locations, the style and mood varying with each. |
The isolation of Strandloper, a few hours drive from Cape Town, the penguins at Boulder Beach near Simon's Town, the colour of the Bo-Kaap district of Cape Town sheltering in the lee of Table Mountain - and then the still lifes, the first by Taylor which we have shown - all serve to make a beautiful and eclectic collection of work capturing the rhythms, vibrancy and atmosphere of this very lovely part of the world.
