Sandra Bell is one of Ireland's leading sculptors. She exhibited with us for the first time in our mixed Christmas show but this is an opportunity to focus more clearly on her beautiful bronzes.
Every piece has intriguing twists and curves exuding movement, virtually always in the vertical, and this is enhanced by the contrast between her imaginative patinas and the polished heads of her very feminine figures.

Each figure represents a single thought - Waterbearer, Mother and Child, Lover's Seat. They are individual but have a common sympathy of form and elegance - like notes in music, every figure plays a part in the rhapsody which defines the theme.
Sandra has exhibited widely and, as I write, is holding her breath for a major corporate commission whcih would be another great advance in an already highly successful career.
